Elephant Coast Beaches Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park Helpful Hints to visit Elephant Coast Order an Elephant Coast Brochure  Hluhluwe & Surrounds Hluhluwe is a visitor-friendly Elephant Coast town convenient for exploring the many fabulous game reserves nearby.  Jozini & Surrounds Jozini is the access point for the Northern Elephant Coast area or Northern Maputaland. It is a small business centre situated close to the impressive Pongolapoort Dam, better known as the Jozini Dam.  Kosi Bay & Surrounds Home to the Tsonga people and their primitive, yet ingenious, traditional fish traps, Kosi Bay's unique ecosystem and vast wildlife is rapidly becoming the favourite place of modern-day Elephant Coast or Maputaland explorers.  Mkuze & Surrounds Mkuze is a small Elephant Coast trade and transport centre. It is also the name of one of the Elephant Coast waterways that meanders across the southern expanse of Maputaland, eventually feeding into the St Lucia wetlands. The Mkuze River cuts through the Ubombo Mountains before serving as a boundary for Zululand's famous Mkuzi Game Reserve now part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, formerly the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park.  Mtubatuba & Surrounds Mtubatuba (the name comes from the local Zulu chief) is a small, busy and vital center which offers local communities access to supplies, markets and other facilities. It also provides an ideal overnight stop for travellers going north or south – and access to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve from the south.  Sodwana Bay & Surrounds In addition to a prime hotel and lodge, self-catering holiday chalets, tent sites and caravan parks are spread through many hectares of coastal forest making Sodwana a leading domestic holiday destination.  St Lucia & Surrounds St Lucia is a critical element of the Elephant Coast and is an enclave within the World Heritage Site and presents the entire range of accommodation options - from back-packer to ultra- luxury - and while the approach from Mtubatuba is breathtaking, nothing compares to views of the surrounding magic from the village itself. A particular nearby attraction is the Crocodile Centre that features a breeding programme for two endangered African species - the dwarf and long-snout crocodile. Mission Rocks is a popular outdoor barbeque spot some 15 kms north of St Lucia village.
